The Need![]() Guatemala is a developing country of 12 million people with a poverty
rate of approximately 40 percent among its population. As a result, a
great number of its people have very limited access to basic health care
and the government is limited in its ability to fully provide services
for cancer victims. |

NCC partnered with the Unidad Nacional de Oncologia Pediatrica that is associated with Hospital Roosevelt. This is the largest pediatric cancer hospital in Guatemala and it treats the majority of Guatemala’s over 600 new cases of pediatric cancer per year. |
